Aircraft Painter
ROTORCRAFT SUPPORT, INC. has an immediate opening for an AIRCRAFT PAINTER– the successful applicant must have the necessary knowledge and skill to perform the full range of aircraft and piece painting, including surface preparation, and coating of various surfaces. They must be skilled at preparing surfaces by mechanically and chemically removing old paint and corrosion. It is required that the applicant have experience in the operation and use of enclosed paint booth and respirator.
JOB SUMMARY:
Full-Time, Permanent position
Salary Range $62,400-$93,600 per year, depending on aviation experience
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Painter/cleaner must have a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in painting and cleaning operations, preferably working on helicopters;
• Must have ability to read, understand, and apply trade or administrative guides such as technical manuals and other related documentation;
• Must have a valid driver’s license as well as be capable of obtaining forklift qualifications;
• Must maintain a safe and clean and FOD free work area;
• Maintains the tools, equipment and supplies of the trade involved;
• Must store and or use hazardous materials and hazardous wastes (HAZMAT) during operations according to state and local regulations.
• Works with the team building goals to provide high quality work product within established time frames.
Work Environment:
The position is located in Fillmore, California in Ventura County on a 10-acre private heliport. Fillmore is situated along the scenic Topatopa mountain range. The city offers a historic downtown with shops and dining spots including a winery, newly opened local brewery & a quality BBQ spot. A genuine sense of community in a town of 15,000 people, away from the hustle & bustle of Metropolitan Los Angeles; which exposes you to the world of agriculture, western history and a quiet way of life. Both the Santa Clarita Valley and the City of Ventura, that borders the Pacific Ocean, are a scenic 20-minute drive away.
