Position: Full-Time Avionics Technician/Installer

Salary: $70,000–$105,600 per year (based on experience and qualifications).

Position Overview:
Our Company is expanding and looking for an experienced Avionics Expert to join our Team. This position is not an entry level position and requires the applicant to be an Avionics Technician who has the skills and ability to diagnose issues with General Aviation Avionics.
The position will require the applicant to install, inspect, repair, remove, adjust, test, and diagnose helicopter electrical and avionics systems. Some travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, repair, or replace helicopter electrical/electronic components and systems.
  • Conduct full operational checks to ensure proper system functionality.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Install electrical harnesses and sub-assemblies, including:
    • Identifying wires and coax cables.
    • Clamping, bundling, mounting, routing, stripping, splicing, soldering, and terminating.
  • Perform equipment installation and assist with operational tests using WEE Tester systems.
  • Design, layout, install, and troubleshoot avionics systems for EMS, ENG, and Airborne Law Enforcement helicopters.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 Years Prior Avionics Experience is required. Including Installations, and Diagnosing.
  • The ability to read, write, and understand English (requirement of the FAA for the Part 145 repair station). Effective communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting safety best practices.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve bending, stooping, and lifting heavy equipment.
  • The ability to work in tight spaces is required.
  • Familiarity with navigation, radio communications, traffic avoidance, data link, and weather radar systems.
  • Knowledge of EMS, ENG, and Airborne Law Enforcement avionics systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects independently.
  • Must pass FAA/DOT alcohol and drug screening and testing.
  • Installation of Garmin equipment.
  • Have their own basic tools.
  • Must have a current Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FCC Radiotelephone License.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (preferred but not required).
